Personal Training

Highly trained and experienced certified personal trainers with unmatched customer service skills separate this fitness club from others.  Five Points Fitness caters to people who want an upscale, personal, and non-threatening environment.

At Five Points each personal trainer is required to complete the criteria outlined in each of three training levels in order to either train at that level and/or be promoted to the next level.

Below is a description of requirements each personal trainer must meet in order to become a Five Points Fitness employee.  In addition a full range of consulting services covering nutritional guidance, flexibility training, strength training, functional group training, cardiovascular training, and sport specific training, are geared towards enhancing our members’ quality of life.

Tier 1 Personal Trainer

Tier 1 Requirements

Have a national certification from at least one of the following agencies: ACE, AFAA, NSCA, ACSM, NASM. Must successfully complete the following:

  • Biomechanics of Strength
  • Training: Part #1
  • Gross Anatomy
  • Functional Anatomy: Level #1
  • Reebok CORE Training
  • Foundations of Fitness Assessments
  • The Fitness Triad: Liability, Fitness Assessments & Documentation
  • Foundations of Program Design
  • Training: Level #1
  • Flexibility Training: Level #1:
  • FP-Stretch Program
  • Psychology of Personal Training: Level #1
  • Nutrition Level #1
  • The Concept of Energy Systems
  • Reebok 5-Point Movement Screen
  • A minimum of 12-15 Personal Training Sessions Per Week

Tier 2 Personal Trainer

Tier 2 Requirements

Must successfully complete the following requirements:

  • A second National Certification Credential
  • Flexibility Training: Level #2
  • FP-Stretch Program Functional
  • Anatomy Level #2: Pathology
  • Special Populations: Level #1
  • Pre-Natal/Post-Partum
  • The Training Manipulation Matrix:
  • Advanced Program Design Concepts
  • Manual Resistance Training
  • Psychology of Personal Training: Level #2
  • Advanced concepts of Behavior Modification & Adherence
  • Nutrition Level #2
  • Post Rehab Protocols
  • Begin a Physical Therapy Internship Program
  • A Minimum of 15-20 Personal Training Sessions Per Week.

Tier 3 Personal Trainer

Tier 3 Requirements

Must successfully complete the following requirements:

  • A third National Personal Trainer Certification
  • Complete a Physical Therapy Internship Program
  • Special Populations Level #2
  • Sports Specific Training Competency
  • Personal Trainer Mentor & Educator
  • 30 CECs per year
  • A minimum of 20-30 Personal Training Sessions Per Week
